It is easy to access Highcliffe Sixth Form with a multitude of transport options available. Importantly we are committed to green travel and wherever possible encourage students to get to Sixth Form via foot, bike or car share. Where this isn’t possible, the following options are also available:     

Public Train - Train stations at Brockenhurst, Lymington, Sway & New Milton or Bournemouth, Pokesdown and Christchurch serve Hinton Admiral which is a 10-15 minute walk from Highcliffe School. 

Public Bus - The X1 and X2 Morebus service runs through Highcliffe, the X2 stops at Highcliffe School at 3.25pm on its route through towards Mudeford, Christchurch and Bournemouth.

School Subsidised Transport

Private Coach - Highcliffe Sixth operates a contract with Solent Coaches which serves Brockenhurst, Sway, New Milton, Hordle and Everton.

Minibus Service - Highcliffe Sixth has a dedicated fleet of 5 mini buses that run routes designed to accommodate as many Sixth Form students as possible, although subject to change, the routes traditionally served are Bransgore, Southbourne & Christchurch, Milford on Sea, Barton On Sea, Burton and Lyndhurst.

Costs 

Should you wish to explore a transport method provided by Highcliffe School the cost currently works out at just over £2.30 a day for the return trip, although this figure will not be confirmed until June 2020, and is usually split into three payments which are due before the start of each term.

Sixth Formers are able to claim a subsidy of up to 50% off their travel passes on public services if they live 3 miles or more from the school. School Transport; Although the transport costs are already subsidised by Highcliffe School, we may be able to cover the cost of transport for you if you meet a certain criteria as outlined in our Bursary Policy.
