    Sixth Form Study Mentor


    Start Date: September/October 2025 Term-Time Only + 1 week (Post GCSE results) inc Inset Days 37 Hours Mon-Thurs 8.00am – 4.00pm Fri 8.00am - 3.30pm (1/2 hour lunch) Salary Grade 8 SCP 12 £28,598 FTE (Actual salary £25,309)


    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Sixth Form Study Mentor to provide study skills coaching and academic mentoring of Sixth Form students. The role focuses on helping Sixth Form students to achieve their full potential by developing their skills as independent learners. The role also includes tracking study period attendance and punctuality, together with supporting students’ future career aspirations and university applications.

    A natural empathy, caring nature and proven experience of working with students are all essential requirements to work in this challenging but extremely rewarding position.

    Candidates should have positive approaches to and enjoy working with young people and be able to set clear guidelines for them. In turn, you will have a fulfilling opportunity to support and make a difference to the lives of young people in Sixth Form. The candidate will also preferably have worked in an Educational environment or recently left or about to leave University education.

    The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and paid annual leave entitlement for an employee under 5 years’ service.

    This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
