Highcliffe School was proud to host the 2025–26 Rotary Young Musician Competition, a wonderful celebration of emerging musical talent. Organised by Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland, the competition gives young instrumentalists and vocalists a rare opportunity to perform publicly, receive expert adjudication, and develop confidence on stage. We are delighted to congratulate our outstanding competitors on their achievements. Isaac was awarded 1st place, with Emily in 2nd place and Daniel in 3rd. Special recognition also goes to Jude, named this year’s Rising Star, and Amelia, who received the prestigious Judges’ Choice award. Each student impressed the adjudicators with their musicianship, artistry, and dedication. Events such as this would not be possible without the support of many people. We extend our sincere thanks to all our music teachers for preparing students so thoroughly, and to our accompanists for their invaluable support throughout the evening. We are also grateful to David Parsons and the Highcliffe Rotary team for organising this exceptional opportunity for young performers. Our appreciation goes to our panel of expert adjudicators—Fiona Pritchard, Jenny Oulton, and Nickie Dixon—for their thoughtful feedback and encouragement. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all friends and families who attended and supported our young musicians. We are incredibly proud of all our participants and look forward to cheering them on in the next stages of the competition.
