Last Sunday afternoon, the award-winning Highcliffe Percussion Ensemble performed as part of the annual Harvest Service, which this year supported the New Forest Basics Bank. Our talented Highcliffe students were first spotted by council officials during the New Milton Music Festival in the spring term, where they won their class with honours and took home a trophy.
So impressed was the Mayor of New Milton by their performance that he personally invited the ensemble to take part in the Civic Service — a celebration of community, generosity, and local talent. The ensemble performed a selection of pieces that showcased their musicality, precision, and teamwork, earning warm applause from the congregation and dignitaries in attendance.
It was a proud moment for Highcliffe School, highlighting the dedication of our students who give up their Sunday afternoon to be involved in this community event and to support a vital local cause.
