Watching a film is a perfect way to learn a foreign language in context, while being exposed to real life conversation and new day-to-day phrases and vocabulary. Foreign language films are also useful in supporting the teaching of foreign texts and can provide a powerful insight into other cultures. Furthermore, the movies have been selected by their relevance to the themes studied at GCSE and A-level and their educative value.
The viewing will take place at the Forest Art Centre in New Milton (https://www.forest-arts.co.uk/) who have very kindly allowed us to use their facilities free of charge. Please confirm by email to office@highcliffeschool.com as soon as possible if your child would be interested to take part in this project as there are a limited number of places available.
This isn’t compulsory, but it would be beneficial for students. As the viewings are out of school and extracurricular, students will need to arrange their own transport to and from the venue.
