A Level Results 2017 | Highcliffe School
A Level Results 2017
This year's excellent examination results maintain Highcliffe's position as a leading provider of Sixth Form education in the Christchurch, New Forest and Bournemouth areas.
The excellent results in 2016 subsequently placed Highcliffe Sixth Form towards the very top of the national performance tables has been sustained this year.
Close to a third of the individual grades achieved by the students were the prestigious A*/A/Distinction*/Distinction grades, while over half of all grades were the top grades between A* and B or equivalent, and close to 80% of all grades were strong passes.
Once again, it seems, our students results are better than national averages, based on what we currently know.
29% of all grades achieved were A*/A/Distinction*/Distinction.
54% of all grades achieved were A*/A/B or equivalent.
78% of all grades were A*/A/B/C or equivalent.
Of our applied courses, 84% of our students achieved the top Distinction*/Distinction grades.
Every year for nearly a decade Highcliffe Sixth Formers have gained admission to Oxford or Cambridge, an enviable success story continuing in 2017. The majority of our students are celebrating results that will take them to the top Russell Group universities or the most prestigious degree courses at a range of top-performing UK universities.
