Equipment & Resources


All students in must have the following basic equipment on a daily basis:

School Organiser/Planner (this will be given to you on your first day)
Plus:

  • Black pens (minimum of 3)
  • Pencils (minimum of 3)
  • Sharpener
  • Eraser
  • Glue stick
  • Ruler (15cm or 30 cm)
  • Colouring pencils (not felt tip pens)
  • Scientific calculator *
  • Whiteboard marker
  • Student ID Card / Catering Card (will be provided to new starters at the beginning of term)

*recommended Casio fx83GTX or fx85GTX (solar).

Students can also purchase a small notebook from the school library - this is an optional item but may useful.

The following learning resources are required of all students by arrangement/request in certain lessons:

  • The course textbook where issued
  • Exercise book or work folder
  • Plus any learning resources, revision notes, or independent work requested in advance by the teacher for a particular lesson

In Years 7 & 8, students will be expected to have a purple pen. Every student in Years 7 & 8 will be provided with a purple pen, if they should misplace/lose their pen this will need to be replaced. Purple pens will be available to buy in the library.
Students can purchase a clear pencil case (required for internal and public examinations) ready-stocked with equipment from the School Library at a reasonable price, if required.

On certain days students will be required to bring their PE kit and/or Technology aprons, depending on their timetable.
