Responsible

This section is all about being Responsible . When you join a secondary school, you will start to become more independent and responsible for things like organising yourself and getting to school and lessons on time. Before you join us, watch Mr Davies’ presentation about being Responsible at Highcliffe School. He will also tell you about our online Transition Portal which contains lots of useful information about our school. Your primary school will also show you how to access this section of the website.

Before the transition day, find out how long it takes you to get to Highcliffe School if you will walk or come by bike. If you are going to take the bus, find out how long it takes to get to the bus stop. If you are coming by car, how long is the journey? You will need this for an activity on Transition Day.

Well done! You have now completed the Responsible section of our Highcliffe Ready Challenge.

Resilience

Starting a new school can be daunting! This section of the website will reassure you and let you know how you will be supported when you join us. In this presentation, Miss Whitney, our Deputy Head of Achievement for Year 7 will tell you about how we will help you if you get lost and about our Year 10 Peer Mentors.
